Intended learning outcomes

  1. Knowledge about the durability of concrete, recognition of pathology symptoms and their origins, legal and regulatory framework on rehabilitation. Competence in the application of concrete restoration methods.
  2. Identification of masonry anomalies, the causes associated with them and the most commonly used repair techniques.
  3. Understanding the durability factors / anomalies of the wood and training to select and design accordingly. Ability to decide on treatment, conservation, rehabilitation, reinforcement or removal. Understanding of inspection and diagnostic techniques and the establishment of intervention methodologies. Knowledge of the techniques of wood products and their limitations.
